How our Marriott timeshare rentals  and Marriott Destination Points rentals work

You can list your Marriott Vacation Club property, or some of your Marriott Destination Points for rent on this site, and visitors to the site may see your listing and contact you to complete a rental transaction with you.  There are no fees of any kind charged by ownertrades.com when you complete your rental transaction with a site visitor. All rental arrangements are directly between the involved parties.

Our rental listings are treated just like newspaper listings: they cost a fixed amount ($5 each) and they run for a fixed time period (90 days from the date they are posted). So keeping a listing up for a whole year would cost approximately $20.

Listings are automatically de-activated at the end of their paid term. You can easily add an additional 90 days to your listing for an additional $5. Even de-activated listings may easily be re-activated for a 90 day period.

How to transfer points rentals between owners

First, you and the person you are transferring rented Destination Points with agree on terms and payment between yourselves.  Also make sure you have both names and account (customer) numbers handy.

If you don't know your account number, go to The Marriott Website  and click on the Owner Login button in the upper right hand corner. You will be asked for your username and password (We can't help you with those -- they are whatever you set up with Marriott). If you don't have an account you will see the option to create one. Once you are logged in, on the right side of the page where it says "Managing Your Ownership", click on the "Owner Information" link, and you will see your Customer Number, which is the number you need.

Then call Marriott 888-682-4862 to make the transfer. The transfer can be accomplished by the Marriott representative during the phone call.

Adding a Marriott timeshare week or Marriott Destination Points rental listing

You must have an account with ownertrades.com in order to list a Marriott week or some Marriott Destination Points for rent on this site.  Listings by owners and by brokers are welcome. Use the "Create Account" item in the menu on the left to create an account if you do not already have one. Creating an account has a one-time $2 setup fee which allows you to have your own username and password, so you can have access to your personal account and manage your own listings.

To place a Marriott timeshare or Marriott Destination Points rental listing on this site, simply use the menu on the left to go to the "Rental Center"/ "Add Rental Listing" page.  There you can fill out a form describing the particulars of your listing. As part of the listing process, you will be required to buy a $5 listing credit via Paypal. If you have more than one listing, you can buy many listing credits for $5 each, and use them as you list.

If you have a Paypal account, you will be able to use that. If you do not have a Paypal account, you can still use your credit card with Paypal to buy your listing credits.

Modifying a Marriott timeshare week or Marriott Destination Points rental listing

You will have access to your listing(s) for the purpose of modifying or removing them by using the menu at the left.  Simply go to the "Rental Center" / "Edit Or Delete My Listings" menu item.

Renewing or extending a Marriott Vacatioin Club or Marriott Destination Points rental listing

You may renew an expired Marriott rental listing for 90 days, or add 90 days to the current expiration date by going to the "Rental Center" / "Renew a Listing" link in the menu at left. The renewal fee is $5 for 90 days (same as the listing fee).

Deleting a Marriott rental listing

To delete a rental listing, use the "Rental Center" / "Edit or Delete My Listings" menu item. An Edit and a Delete button show at the bottom of each listing. Clicking the Delete button will permanently delete the associated listing from the database.
